“Life partners, Best friends, Hook-ups: This is the LGBTQI+ experience. Each of the images here is one of those three, but which is which? And does it matter? Pushed out of the “normal” of what relationships should be, those in the LGBT community learn to navigate our own way in life, love, and sex. From random Grindr hookups to lifelong loves... a kiss is still a kiss.”
About the Artist
Originally from the southern United States, Rick Saint has been based in Asia for more than a decade. His work has been shown in galleries and publications in Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines. Originally a painter, the lack of ability to source supplies due to language difficulties while in Asia pushed him to explore photography. As his photography quickly began to gain recognition, that became his primary artistic expression.
In addition to his work in photography, Rick has a strong background in education as a teacher, head of school, university administrator, and chief academic officer of an educational technology company. Rick also serves as a bishop within Christ Communion, an affirming and inclusive independent Catholic group with communities in Thailand, Korea, the Philippines, and the Unites States.
