"I Love It"

It all started off with the word “kinky”. The fact that this word is usually portrayed through explicit images of spreading legs and naked bodies expressing the ultimate human sexual desires for intense intimacy, caught Pokchat Worasub’s attention and led her to the question if there was more to it.

With a new series of artworks in this show, another perspective of “kinky” is introduced to the audience. “Kinky” is redefined as a non-sexually graphic personal preferences or obsessions, based on what we call a “fetish”. These different sexual fantasies are like an adrenaline rush through one’s veins awakening the pleasure buried deep inside one’s soul. 

Hidden under conventional forms of satisfaction, these obsessions might appear mysterious and complex for some people to comprehend. However, whether it’s finding pleasure through self-reflection in mirrors and cameras, fascination with cats’ buttocks, animals costumes, electric massage pads, saliva, urine or a lover’s semen, the artist has created “I love it” (ไอ เลิฟ อิท) to invite the audience to explore this stimulated fresh outlook towards something “kinky”. This body of work challenges everyone to deliberately ponder the matter of kinkyness and discover if they love it the way each piece is delivering the message “I love it” (ไอ เลิฟ อิท).
